These women were on my on top of my head when I created Style Icon nail polish. My goal was trying to make something surprising. For Style Icon I wanted to twist a metallic grey nail polish. I didn’t want it straight metallic grey. Initially a brown tone later twisting towards a green grey tone. My good girlfriend, her mother, who is in her 70s, she loves Style Icon. Once I was at her parents’ house for the weekend.

In fact we were a group of women, having a weekend without husbands and children. And we borrowed her parent’s house for the purpose. I did her mother’s nails on Friday afternoon before they left; she came down with a long forest green silk dress, from Thailand, and I knew immediately I would do her nails with Style Icon. The underlying green tone in the nail polish really enhanced the green in her silk dress. She looked stunning before she left. She still calls me, Charlotte, I need another bottle.
